The 2027 programme has not been announced yet. As soon as Ravinia Festival publishes its dates, they will appear here.
Ravinia announces summer 2027 on March 11, 2027. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be there: its residency is contracted for every summer from 2027 to 2034. In 2026 it lasted six weeks, from July 11 to August 16. Klaus Mäkelä becomes the CSO's music director from the 2027/28 season.

Prices are for a regular evening. Opening nights, premieres and galas cost more.

2027 prices are not published yet. At most classical concerts, students through college pay reduced prices, including on the lawn. Chairs and buffet tables can be rented on site for $15 each.
Tickets are sold only at Ravinia.org. Donors book first from mid-March; public sales opened on April 23 in 2026.

Is Ravinia Festival worth it?
Ravinia means picnicking with one of the world's great orchestras, a short train ride from Chicago. Choose the Pavilion for the music, the lawn for the evening out, and make sure you book a classical night, not a pop show.

What should I know before an evening in Highland Park near Chicago?
Ravinia performs rain or shine and ticket sales are final. With a lawn ticket you are outdoors in the rain, so pack a rain jacket.

Fly into Chicago O'Hare (ORD) from the UK, or take a domestic flight there from anywhere in the US. From downtown Chicago, Metra's Union Pacific North line stops right at Ravinia's main gate for most summer performances, so you don't need a car.
After the concert, Metra trains run back to Chicago; check the timetable beforehand.
Ravinia has its own lots; rates and opening times vary by performance. Illegal street parking costs a $100 fine.
No dress code; casual clothes on the lawn and a warm layer for the evening.
Children are welcome on the lawn. At select classical concerts in the Pavilion, under-15s get free or reduced tickets, and the KidsLawn is a musical playground.
On the lawn you can bring food, drinks, chairs, tables and blankets. BYOB is permitted on the lawn if you are 21 or over, and IDs are checked. In the Pavilion, drinks must be in paper or plastic cups of 24 oz or less; no glass or metal. Tents and canopies are prohibited, as are umbrellas over six feet. Grills, firepits and large open flames are not allowed.
