Before you go

What should I know before an evening in Rome?

Getting there

From the UK, fly to Rome Fiumicino or Rome Ciampino. From Fiumicino a train takes you to Roma Termini, the main station. In summer 2026 the stage stood in the Circus Maximus. Metro line B stops at Circo Massimo, and tram 3 stops at Aventino/Circo Massimo.

Getting home afterwards

In summer 2026 the Rome Opera set up a taxi rank. It opened 30 minutes before the end of each performance on Via dei Cerchi, at the corner of Via di San Teodoro. You can book a taxi on 06 6645.

Parking

The Rome Opera does not list its own car parks. Central Rome restricts car traffic heavily, so the metro, tram or a taxi is easier.
