Litomyšl is a small town in the east of the Czech Republic, between Prague and Brno. From the UK, fly to Prague and continue by car or train. By train you travel to Česká Třebová station, where the festival runs a free shuttle for ticket holders that you book in advance. A free festival bus also runs for ticket holders from Hradec Králové via Pardubice to Litomyšl.
The free festival bus takes you back to Hradec Králové and Pardubice after the evening performances in the courtyard. Don Giovanni does not end until about 11.30 pm. Litomyšl is often fully booked during the festival, so reserve a room early or look in nearby towns.
The festival recommends parking on Smetanovo náměstí, Litomyšl's main square. From there you walk up to the castle.
