How this site is made. Sources, checks and who is behind it.
Open Air Classics brings together every opera and classical concert under the open sky in summer 2027. Every figure on this site comes from a source that is linked right next to it.
Last checked: 4 November 2026, against the organiser's own information. JSON
I am Kai-Michael Rauch and I run the company Rauch Media in Berlin. I write and check the pages of Open Air Classics myself.
If you spot a mistake, write to me at kai@rauch-media.de. I will correct it and update the date checked.
Dates, start times, prices, rain policies and gate times come from the organiser's official website. Each figure links to that source.
If an organiser does not publish something, it does not appear here either. I do not estimate prices or invent times.
Resellers and travel sites are named with their own name and their own price. If their ticket costs more than at the official box office, both prices are shown side by side.
Sunset and darkness are calculated for the exact location of each venue, using the method of the US weather agency NOAA.
"Dark" here means the sun is six degrees below the horizon. From then on a stage needs artificial light. All times are local summer time.
Every venue page shows the date on which I last compared it with the organiser's information. The same date appears in the data for search engines.
The full calendar is also available as an open JSON file under the CC BY 4.0 licence. If you use it, please name Open Air Classics as the source.
Some links go to ticket sellers, travel sites and hotel portals. If you book through them, I receive a commission. Your price stays the same.
No organiser pays to be listed on this site. Venues are ordered by their number of evenings, not by money.
